  21. we're using dvips for years now and are looking for a way to include
  22. compressed PS-images. 
  23. The idea with the backtick should do, but doesn't:

  27. is fine with LaTeX (the dvi-file contains PSfile="'gunzip
  28. image.eps.gz") but confuses dvips:
